ANTI-RAGGING POLICY

Indus Pvt. Industrial Training Institute (ITI)
(Zero Tolerance Towards Ragging)

Introduction

Indus Pvt. Industrial Training Institute strictly prohibits ragging in any form within the campus, workshops, laboratories, hostel, transportation, or during any institutional activity.

The Institute follows the guidelines issued by the UGC and relevant authorities. Ragging is a punishable offence under law.

What Constitutes Ragging

Ragging includes any act by a student or group of students that:

• Teases, insults, or behaves rudely with a fresher or any other student

• Causes physical or psychological harm, fear, or humiliation

• Forces a student to perform acts against their will

• Disrupts regular academic or workshop training activities

• Exploits juniors for academic or personal work

• Demands money or imposes financial burden

• Involves physical abuse, verbal abuse, or sexual misconduct

• Affects the mental health or self-confidence of any student

Ragging in workshops, practical training areas will be treated with equal seriousness.

Action by the Institution

If any incident of ragging is reported:

• Immediate inquiry will be conducted by the Anti-Ragging Committee.

• FIR will be filed with police if required under penal laws.

• The matter will be reported to the concerned authorities.

Disciplinary Actions

Depending on the severity of the offence, the Institute may impose:

• Suspension from classes or practical training

• Debarring from examinations

• Withholding results

• Cancellation of admission

• Rustication or expulsion from the Institute

If individuals are not identified, collective action may be taken.
